The Copilot touch screen system for senior centers is a web based computer system, designed to assist
in the collection and reporting of service deliveries consumed by senior citizens. Easily track congregate meals, home delivered meals, exercises, programs, transportation, volunteer services and more.
Copilot is a product of Information Age Technologies, Inc. (IAT). The company has been developing custom software solutions since 1998.
Nearly a decade ago, IAT established a relationship with the Westmoreland County
Area Agency on Aging in Pennsylvania and has been providing day to day support ever
since. Two years later, a similar relationship was established with the Southwest
Area Agency on Aging. Both relationships have grown over the years and continue
to this day.
One of the results of working so closely with these agencies was a considerable
amount of expertise with the state’s case management information system. There also
became an increasing desire to create a more efficient data tracking system for senior centers. One that
would assist the center in recording the service deliveries provided to the seniors
and communicates this required information to the associated agency on a monthly
basis. This represented an opportunity to begin the development of Copilot.
Copilot development began in January of 2006 with a very controlled approach to
introducing it to market. Initially Copilot was only installed locally to allow
the support staff to closely monitor any issues with the system. The approach proved
to be a successful one and slowly a satisfied client base began to grow.
Over the last 5 years, the Copilot system has continued to improve through the suggestions
of the users and our understanding of the center, agency and states needs and desires.
As we grow, the approach never changes. We remain attentive to the system and the
clients that utilize it. We take pride in knowing that our relationship with a client
goes beyond the initial setup and training. The relationship always grows into something
much greater. Rarely, does a call go to an automated voice message system. We believe
our clients take comfort in knowing that if they call, a real live person will answer
and help them with WHATEVER it is they need.
