Excellent question!
Let’s start with the basics. Currently, senior centers are spending numerous hours
per week, recording, writing down, relaying, and “keeping track” of valuable information
for hundreds of consumers. Not only is the current process extremely time-consuming
and inefficient, it’s also leaving you susceptible to inaccuracies when reporting
month end totals. Luckily, the majority of the center managers and volunteer staff
do a great job managing this burden, but if there’s a better option, why not take
advantage of it?
The process is only going to become more time-consuming and difficult as the baby
boomer generation begins to increase the amount of seniors visiting centers on a
daily basis.
This should be something we embrace though rather than fear. So instead of focusing
