Frequently Asked Questions

Why Copilot?

Question
Excellent question!

Let’s start with the basics. Currently, senior centers are spending numerous hours per week, recording, writing down, relaying, and “keeping track” of valuable information for hundreds of consumers. Not only is the current process extremely time-consuming and inefficient, it’s also leaving you susceptible to inaccuracies when reporting month end totals. Luckily, the majority of the center managers and volunteer staff do a great job managing this burden, but if there’s a better option, why not take advantage of it?

The process is only going to become more time-consuming and difficult as the baby boomer generation begins to increase the amount of seniors visiting centers on a daily basis.

This should be something we embrace though rather than fear. So instead of focusing on the negatives, let’s focus on the positives this increase will bring and how we can help you along the way. Copilot not only allows you to better manage the consumer statistics at each senior center, it helps you better understand them. Understand the activities they enjoy. Understand the types of exercises they are most likely to participate in.

The less time spent worrying about paperwork, the more time center managers have to focus on the enjoyable part of their job, enhancing the lives of our seniors.
Question
Wow, another really good question!

Yes, the Copilot touch screen system can have a tremendous impact on senior centers and agencies. Let us explain exactly how it works:

Each active senior at the center receives their own ID scan card. This allows the scanner attached to the touch screen to identify the consumer’s identity.
Question
Oh contraire. From our experience, the majority of the seniors love how easy it is to use. They use touch screens everywhere they go. The store, the hospital, voting, gas stations, etc.

The consumer checks in one time in the morning, selects their activities for the day, their lunch, volunteer hours, etc. and then they’re done. No more signing in at station after station. This also means that the senior center manager no longer has to spend time trying to decipher signatures and transfer data.
Question
Each month, the senior center manager inserts their activities into an easy to use electronic calendar. An entire month’s calendar, jam packed with activities can easily be created in less than 10 minutes.
Question
Each manager will have their own “command center” on their personal desktop computer. Copilot is web based so they can access it securely from anywhere with internet. The center manager simply logs into the system to view real time statistics. With one click they can view the number of unduplicated consumers that have used the touch screen that day or prior days. They can view the number of activities consumed as a total or consumer by consumer. They can also record any and all activities: congregate meals, home delivered meals, programs, tranportation, exercises, prime time health, volunteer services, and more. Furthermore, they can edit or add to their consumer roster, edit their calendar, view reports and more. Copilot's detailed reports are great assets when applying for grants and other funding.
Question
I thought, you’d never ask. Take some time to look around the site, view our demo videos and give us a call. We can schedule you for a free demonstration that will give you tons of more information on how a Copilot touch screen can help your senior center(s) grow.
